About Me!
Ryan George is a Cardiff-based illustrator specialising in themes of identity, self-expression, and everyday life, aiming to create engaging illustrations with warmth, sincerity, and personality. His practice focuses on character design and visual storytelling, creating playful, narrative-driven worlds for younger audiences. Through his work, he explores themes of family, identity, and self-expression, often drawing from personal experiences and contemporary culture. In 2024, Ryan received recognition in the Impact category of the Creative Conscience Awards for his socially engaged project responding to the potential closure of the Port Talbot steelworks. He was also selected to represent Cardiff in the 2026 Cardiff–Stuttgart exchange programme, where his work was exhibited as part of the Comic Juju Festival in Stuttgart.
